Verified on the official KBN APRN continuing-education page. Older secondary sources citing 30 hours biennially are obsolete — Kentucky uses an annual 5-hour pharmacology model. Annual CE period November 1-October 31. The 5 pharmacology hours are the APRN-tier requirement; current national APRN certification satisfies the separate 14-hour RN CE requirement. DEA-registered APRNs with a KASPER/PDMP account must complete at least 3 of the 5 pharmacology hours in pain management or addiction disorders. APRNs authorized to issue medicinal-cannabis certifications need an additional 3 hours annually.
