Verified against 481 IAC Chapter 551 (official Iowa Legislature PDF, effective July 16, 2025): section 551.4(3) - the license expires June 30 two years after initial licensure; section 551.4(4)(a) - 30 hours of relevant, accredited CE since issuance or last renewal each renewal period, with the former 15 drug-therapy / 2 pharmacy-law / 2 patient-safety split removed; the first renewal after licensure by examination is exempt from CE. Conditional abuse-reporting training verified against IAC 657-2.16 and Iowa Code sections 232.69 and 235B.16: a pharmacist whose practice makes the pharmacist a mandatory reporter of child or dependent-adult abuse must complete 2 hours of training in the applicable area(s) within the previous five years (a combined 2-hour course may satisfy both).
