Renewal requires certifying both (1) maintained NCCPA certification and (2) completion of 100 hours of CME during the current licensure period (ORC 4730.14). The 12-hour biennial pharmacology requirement for PAs with delegated prescriptive authority is in ADDITION to the 100 hours (ORC 4730.49(C)); PAs prescribing opioid analgesics or benzodiazepines must also certify OARRS (Ohio prescription-monitoring) database access.
