100 hours per biennium: at least 50 Category I and 2 hours in medical errors. Two domestic-violence hours are required every third biennium (included in the 100). First renewal: 2 hours medical error + 1 hour HIV/AIDS + 97 general hours. Current NCCPA certification counts for 98 hours, but medical-error, domestic-violence, and applicable specialty/safe-prescribing hours still apply. PAs who prescribe have conditional specialty/safe-prescribing requirements. CE reported via CE Broker.
