Registration expires December 31 of odd-numbered years and becomes invalid unless renewed; renewal within 12 months after expiration carries a 50% fee increase. Beyond 12 months, reinstatement requires a notarized experience statement, 15 CPD hours per lapsed year, and a fee equal to the number of unpaid renewal fees multiplied by three times the current renewal fee; more than four consecutive lapsed years requires reexamination unless continuously registered in another jurisdiction.Verify with board

How compliance is checked

CPD records may be audited at any time; the Board gives six months to rectify a deficiency, and failure may lead to revocation or suspension after a hearing (ORC 4733.151(G)).
