Dentist licenses renew biennially (December 31 of odd-numbered years). A license not renewed on time stays valid through April 1 if all other requirements are met, upon payment of the biennial fee plus a $127 late fee; on or after April 1 the Board may begin disciplinary action (R.C. 4715.14(C)).Verify with board
How compliance is checked
The Board may annually select licensees for CE verification; selected licensees must furnish documentation within 30 days and must retain CE records for 4 years (OAC 4715-8).
