New York imposes no general CE-hour total for LPN registration renewal. LPNs must complete NYSED-approved infection control and barrier precautions coursework every four years. Per the official NYSED nursing FAQ, the child-abuse reporting coursework requirement does NOT apply to LPNs (it is an RN-only initial-licensure mandate), despite some third-party guides claiming a 2-hour LPN mandate.
