Renewal: OT licenses expire August 1 of each even-numbered year; the 24-month CE period runs August 1 of an even-numbered year through August 1 of the following even-numbered year.
Details
Per the Nebraska DHHS (172 NAC 114), OTs must complete 20 hours of CE within the 24-month renewal period; CE is not required during the first 2-year license period. CE must be earned in the preceding 24 months (no carryover). Continuing competency requirements may be waived in part or total for circumstances beyond the licensee's control (Neb. Rev. Stat. 38-2521), including non-resident licensees and serious illness.
