Renewal: Each credential renews every three years on the individual's renewal date (three years from original licensure or last renewal); the KBEP renewal application covers 'the next three years.'

Per KRS 319.032 and the KBEP renewal application: 39 hours per 3-year period, including 3 hours ethical practice/risk management each period; 3 hours domestic violence and elder abuse (first renewal period only); 3 hours social and cultural factors affecting health, functioning, and quality of life (renewals after June 30, 2024); 6 hours suicide assessment, treatment, and management within the first year of licensure and every six years thereafter; 3 hours basic/advanced supervision during renewal periods in which the licensee supervises as a board-approved supervisor.
