Indiana Dental Hygiene CE category requirements

CONFIRMED 2026-09-22 against the official PLA page: 19 hours per two-year license period; at least half of the hours (9.5) through live presentations or live workshops; a basic life support course is required each renewal period (up to 2 hours may count toward the 19); a 2-hour course covering ethics, professional responsibility, and Indiana statutes/administrative rules (828 IAC 1-5-6) is required each renewal period; IC 25-13-2-6 caps practice-management courses at 5 hours per license period. Statute: IC 25-13-2-6 as amended by P.L.35-2020 (HB 1067, effective July 1, 2020) to 19 hours, unchanged since per FindLaw's current-to-2026-01-01 rendering. Licenses expire March 1 of even-numbered years; the license period begins March 2. Self-report on renewal application; retain certificates for audit.
