Vermont Physician license renewal fees

Vermont Board of Medical Practice (Department of Health) fee page, updated September 2026: MD biennial renewal $525; reinstatement of an expired MD license $650. MD renewals occur November 30 of even-numbered years. Osteopathic physicians are licensed separately by the Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons under the Office of Professional Regulation (sos.vermont.gov); DO fees are not included in this figure. An older 26 V.S.A. section 1401a carried a $25 late-renewal penalty schedule, but its fee amounts predate the current $525 schedule and the current late-penalty amount could not be confirmed, so no late fee is recorded.
