30 hours per two-year term (January 1 of odd-numbered years through December 31 of even-numbered years) under Board Rule Chapter 13, all directly related to dental practice; current CPR certification is required (online CPR is not accepted unless it includes hands-on participation with an instructor). The Board's official jurisprudence materials describe the 30 hours as 20 hours category 1 plus 10 hours category 2. Renewal is due December 31 of even-numbered years; CE hours earned after expiration cannot be applied to a late renewal.
